YugYug is a local barter marketplace for musical instruments, built in Quebec to extend the life of gear and strengthen neighbourhood connections.
Mission
We believe every instrument deserves a second life. YugYug exists to make it easy for neighbours to exchange music gear locally — reducing waste, saving money, and building trust one trade at a time.
Local and human
YugYug is designed for face-to-face trades in your neighbourhood. We're starting with Greater Montreal and Montérégie, growing one community at a time.
Trust by default
Privacy-by-default, pseudonymous profiles, encrypted data, and a lightweight trust score system. We comply with Quebec Law 25 and never share data with third parties.
Fair exchange
The Wari token ledger captures the value of every trade without cash pressure. Honest descriptions, transparent conditions, and clear coordination make exchanges feel right.
Where we are today
YugYug is currently in an invite-only pilot. We're testing the core barter loop, gathering feedback, and refining the experience before opening to the wider Quebec community.
